About Wroclaw
One of the most beautiful cities in the country, Wroclaw is the economic, cultural and intellectual capital of Lower Silesia, the historic region of the Southwestern Poland. Situated at the foot of the Sudety Mountains (Sudeten), upon the Odra River, for its numerous tributaries and canals, it is often called a city of 12 islands and 112 bridges. Nowadays Wroclaw is the fourth biggest city with the population exceeding 700.000 inhabitants and one of the most important university centers in Poland.
